Jonathan Pease is a creative director and entrepreneur based in Australia[2] known for his role as style director on Australia's Next Top Model.[3] Pease is currently managing partner and executive ideas director at Tongue.[4][5]
Acting and directing work
Pease was Style Director on the Fox8 show, Australia's Next Top Model for several seasons[6] leaving in 2009 to start a company, Tongue.[7][8] Pease hosted the Fox8 show, Confidential.[9][10][11] Other projects include the hosting role on Fashion Week Unwrapped, and a featured role on the reality TV show pilot The Agency. In 2006, Pease pitched a 13-episode show to Foxtel Australia called The Deep End, starring Ian Thorpe.[2]
In 2008, Pease collaborated with Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash to create a video game based on fashion and styling.[12][13][14][15]
Creative design
Pease spent 18 years working in advertising and marketing, including seven years in New York with BBDO Worldwide.[16] Clients have included M&M Mars and Pepsi in the USA, Financial Times in the UK, and Channel Nine in Australia. Previously, Pease served as Executive Ideas Director at Naked Communications[17] where he worked on clients including Unilever, BMW, Coke, Bigpond, Xbox, and Seek. Naked won Australian agency of the year in 2007.[18]
Pease is currently managing partner and executive ideas director of Tongue,[19][20][21] working with clients including Kim Kardashian[22] and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.[23] Pease serves on the Vanguard Board for the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.[24] Pease is often a guest speaker[25] at events such as the Australian National Leadership Camp in Sydney, the Leading Edge Hinterland Creative Conference in Sydney,[26] and The Internet Show in Melbourne.[27]
Pease is creator of the fashion label Tight Knickers.[28][29]
Charity work
Pease works with several youth-focused charities including Australia's only maximum security prison for women, Juniperina Juvenile Justice Centre.[30][31] In Australia, Pease also works with the Make A Wish Foundation and the Sir David Martin Foundation, which saw him abseil down a city building.[32][33]
Education and teaching
Pease has a Master of Business from Sydney University in 2010.[34] and lectures about idea generation at AdSchool in Sydney.[35]
