Jonathan Mark Kenoyer

Jonathan Mark Kenoyer (born May 28, 1952, in Shillong, India) is an American archaeologist and Professor of Anthropology at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He earned his Bachelor of Arts, Master's, and Doctorate degrees at the University of California, Berkeley, finishing in 1983.[1]

Considered one of the world's leading experts on the Ancient Indus Valley Civilization, Dr. Kenoyer is involved in the development of a new center for its study in Gujarat, India, as part of the Global Heritage project. In addition to being a member of the American Anthropological Association, he has served as the president of the American Institute of Paki Studies since 2005. He is a fluent speaker of Urdu, Hindi, and Bengali.[2][3]
