Jonathan Lean
The Very Rev David Jonathan Rees Lean (known as Jonathan;[1] born 29 May 1952) is the current Dean of St David's.
He was born in Fishguard[2] on 29 May 1952, educated at St Davids University College, Lampeter and the College of the Resurrection, Mirfield and ordained in 1976.[3] He began his career as Curate at Tenby after which he was Vicar of the grouped parishes of Llanrhian, Llanhowell, and Llanrheithan [4] and then St Martin's, Haverfordwest. From 2000 until his elevation to the Deanery he was a Canon Residentiary at St David's Cathedral.
He appeared on ITV Cymru Wales' 2014 documentary 'Wales on a Bus Pass' with Chris Segar, meeting Segar on the bus in Solva, before alighting at Saint David's City Hall, and making his way back to work at Saint David's Cathedral.
