Jonathan Harden is a Northern Irish actor, born in Belfast in 1979. He is best known as Walter Hill in Titanic: Blood and Steel and as Newman Noggs in "Nick Nickleby", a modern TV adaptation of Charles Dickens novel, The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby, which he also narrated.

A late starter, Harden made his professional stage debut as Henry Joy McCracken in Stewart Parker's Northern Star at the Finborough Theatre in 2011, returning for Children of the Sun at the Royal National Theatre under the direction of Howard Davies in 2013.[1] In 2014, he featured in The Invisible Woman, directed by and starring Ralph Fiennes.[2]

Harden provided the voiceover for 2015 Oscar-nominated and BAFTA-winning short film, Boogaloo and Graham.[3]

In 2015, Harden is set to appear in AMC/Channel 4 co-production, Humans and in David Farr's directorial debut, The Ones Below.

Harden has also provided voices for several video games, most notably as Xenophilius Lovegood in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I.[4] In 2014, Harden was responsible for bringing a new species in the Halo universe to life on screen, playing Axl in the Ridley Scott produced, Halo: Nightfall.[5]

He has been married to writer/actress Bronágh Taggart since 2008.
