This name uses Portuguese naming customs. The first or maternal family name is Figueira and the second or paternal family name is Fernandes.

Jonatas Figueira Fernandes, commonly known as Jô (born 16 January 1992), is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a forward.

Club career

Born in São Caetano do Sul, Jô started his career at Corinthians' youth setup, mainly criticized due to his indiscipline problems.[1] On 8 June 2011 he signed a four-year deal with Grêmio,[2] but returned to Corinthians two months later.[3]

On 29 February 2012 Jô joined hometown's São Caetano in a two-year deal.[4] On 1 September he played his first match as a professional, replacing Vandinho in a 1–0 home win against Avaí for the Série B championship.[5]

On 26 September 2014, after appearing in only one further match for Azulão, Jô moved to Portuguesa.[6]

Personal life

Jô's brother, Mário Fernandes, is also a footballer.[2] A defender, he was also groomed in São Caetano's youth setup.
