Jon Mack is an American singer-songwriter, composer, and actress. Mack is the lead vocalist for the electronic group Auradrone.

Early life

Born and raised in Rochester, Michigan on a 180-acre family farm with no siblings, Mack was a performer at an early age: singing and teaching herself guitar. Her mother was an actress who worked as a theatre director and cast Mack in a play when she was five years old. She was introduced to Shakespeare and various classical works at a young age and was later influenced by groups The Cure, Siouxsie And The Banshees, and Depeche Mode.

She became active in chorus and drama in high school, continuing studies at the Tisch School at New York University, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in theatre and a minor in film, and later at the Lee Strasberg Institute in Los Angeles. Mack, a self-taught painter, later completed a graphic design program at UCLA.

Career

Film

In 1999 she made her on screen debut when she was cast to play legendary actress Ava Gardner in the Emmy Award-winning biopic Introducing Dorothy Dandridge starring Halle Berry. Mack went on to appear in feature films Saw VI, Spiders 3D, "Playing For Keeps with Gerard Butler and Straight A’s in addition to filming the television pilot Fergus and Crispy with Ernie Hudson and James McCaffrey. Acting has always been a passion for the multi-talented Mack and she been fortunate to work with other notable actors and directors. Her latest role is playing Reggie in the underground dueling drama Blunt Force Trauma (2015 film) with Mickey Rourke, Ryan Kwanten and Freida Pinto which will be released in 2015.

Music

In March 2009 Mack recorded Whitelite Britelite, the debut album of electronic rock group Auradrone. The album was self-released through iTunes and played by online radio and the group has been compared to Nine Inch Nails, Portishead and Massive Attack. The debut single “AutoErotic” was released on YouTube and two of its songs “Appetite” and “AutoErotic” were both featured SyFy Channel. In the same year, Whitelite Britelite : Rehabilitated was released as a separate remix album.[1]

In 2011 Auradrone released its third album Bleeding Edge which included tracks “Shadow”, “The Escape” and “Ricochet”. Music videos for “Shadow” and “The Escape” featured notable actor Callum Blue (The Tudors, Dead Like Me, Confessions of A Call Girl) and pop culture icon Tony Ward respectively. In 2012, a remix of “Shadow” was released by famed UK DJ Stephen Geller and debuted on the Lance Bass Dirty Pop show on SiriusXM radio.

Auradrone is set the release a new ep in 2015.
