Jon Garth Murray (November 16, 1954 – September 29, 1995) was the second son of late controversial activist Madalyn Murray O'Hair, the first president and founder of American Atheists, Inc., in 1963. He was also the half-brother of the reverend William "Bill" Murray.

From 1986 until his death in 1995, Murray held the office of American Atheists as its de facto president. It was a title without power however, as his mother retained authoritative control behind-the-scenes.

Murray, a tall heavyset man with a speech impairment, was living with his mother Madalyn and niece/sister (William's biological daughter/Madalyn's adopted daughter) Robin Murray O'Hair in Austin, Texas, when all three of them were abducted at gunpoint, tormented, and slain in San Antonio by one of their ex-employees, David Roland Waters.
