Jon Dette (born April 19, 1970) is a heavy metal drummer, best known for playing in Evildead, Iced Earth, Slayer, Testament, Anthrax, and Heathen. Dette is a left-Handed drummer.

Biography

Dette has previously played for Apocalypse, Evildead, Testament, Killing Machine and Slayer. Dette joined Slayer for a brief stint in 1996, when Paul Bostaph left to work on his side project, The Truth about Seafood, and Dave Lombardo was working on Grip Inc's second album. Dette had previously befriended Jeff Hanneman and Kerry King while being a part of the 1980s Los Angeles thrash scene. He again agreed to fill in shortly for Slayer in 2013 after Lombardo quit the band for good. In 2012, Jon joined Animetal USA replacing Scott Travis of Judas Priest. Animetal USA's album "W" released June 2012 features Mike Vescera on vocals, Rudy Sarzo on bass, Chris Impellitteri on guitar, and Jon Dette on drums.[1]
