John Williams (winemaker)

John Williams (born c. 1953) is an American winemaker and owner of Frog's Leap Winery in Rutherford, California.[1] He is a champion of dry farming.[2]

Williams started as a dairy farmer in New York. He moved to Napa Valley, California in 1975 and studied winemaking at UC Davis.[1] He worked at Stag's Leap Wine Cellars and Spring Mountain Vineyard before founding Frog's Leap with Larry Turley in 1981.[3]
