John Williams is a businessman who has most notably involved as a football executive in English football. Born in Hampshire, Williams he moved north to work at Granada Manchester in the late 1970s.

Williams joined Blackburn Rovers in the 1990s and became a key figure behind the scenes before becoming chairman. He left club in 2011 following the transition of new owners. He now works at Manchester City.

Williams joined Blackburn Rovers in the 1990s and become a key figure behind the scenes. He left in 2011 following a takeover of the club by Venky's.

In July 2011, Williams then moved on to pastures new at Premier League title-chasing challengers Manchester City following interest from a number of organisations. Williams joined the Football Operations arm of the football club, working alongside Brian Marwood and Partick Vieira in a variety of roles.[1]
