John W. Thomas (Wisconsin)

John W. Thomas was a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly.

Biography

Thomas was born on March 31, 1846 in Wales.[1] After moving to the United States, he settled in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. During the American Civil War, Thomas served in the Union Army.

Political career

Thomas was a member of the Assembly from 1895 to 1902. Previously, he served as Treasurer of Chippewa County, Wisconsin from 1885 to 1886. He was a Republican. He was elected railroad commissioner in 1902.

He died in 1925.
