John Svanberg (Johan Frithiof Isidor Svanberg; 1 May 1881 11 September 1957) was a Swedish athlete who competed mainly in the distance events.

He competed for a Sweden in the 1906 Summer Olympics held in Athens, Greece in the 5 miles where came second. He followed this up by coming second in the marathon.

Two years later he competed in the 1908 Summer Olympics held in London, Great Britain in the 5 miles where he came third, and in the Marathon, in which he finished in eighth place.
