John Irwin (producer)

John Irwin is the President of Irwin Entertainment, Inc., a full-service production company specializing in developing comedy, reality, scripted and live entertainment programming. Irwin founded the Los Angeles-based company in 2004, and currently has projects on air, in production and in development with networks including NBC, VH1, E!, Comedy Central, and Spike (TV network).

Irwin was the Executive Producer of VH1's mega-hit series Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew and Celebrity Rehab Presents Sober House. [1] Irwin also serves as the Executive Producer of the wildly popular long-running hit Couples Therapy (TV series). [2] Irwin also produced Linda Perry's show on VH1,[3] Make or Break: The Linda Perry Project Which aired from July-September 2014.[4]

Irwin is responsible for a long list of comedy credits including many recent and upcoming projects for Comedy Central. He recently produced specials for Kevin Hart, Patton Oswalt, Tracy Morgan, David Spade, Daniel Tosh, Chris D'Elia, Neal Brennan, Demetri Martin, and Norm Macdonald.

Career

Prior to forming Irwin Entertainment Inc., Irwin spent four years as a producer for Late Night with Conan O'Brien, two years as a producer for Mad TV, and five years as Vice President of Development and Production for Lorne Michaels’ Broadway Video.[5]
