John Hou Sæter (born 13 January 1998) is a Norwegian footballer who plays in midfield for Rosenborg.

Career

Sæter made his Rosenborg debut on 24 April 2014 in the domestic cup in a game against Orkla FK, making him the youngest player ever to make his debut for Rosenborg. He was 16 year and 101 days at the time of his debut. On 28 September he made his debut in the Tippeligaen against Aalesund coming on in the 81st minute in a 3-0 victory. This made him the youngest ever league debutant for Rosenborg with his 16 years and 258 days, beating Ola By Rise with 9 days.[1]

Personal life

When Sæter was 10 years old he participated in an international football school competition arranged by Manchester United. He was chosen as one of 37 of the 20,000 participants to come attend the finale in Manchester, at The Cliff. He finished second in the competition, only beating by a boy who was 1 year older. He received an award from Sir Bobby Charlton alongside the winner and the third placed boy.[3][4]
