John Henry Menton

John Henry Menton is a fictional character in James Joyce's novel Ulysses, based on the real John Henry Mentin.^[1] He is a practising solicitor and attends Paddy Dignam's funeral. He is offhand with Leopold Bloom, presumably because of his former love interest in Molly Bloom. Denis Breen attends upon him for advice on a proposed libel action.^[2]^[3]
