John Crawley (born 5 March 1972 in Sydney, New South Wales) is an Australian former football (soccer) player and the goalkeeping coach for A-League club the Central Coast Mariners.
Biography
Having played early in his career for Chilean team Colo Colo, he played one season with National Soccer League team Sydney United. Before the A-League began, he played for Blacktown City Demons.
Crawley made 13 appearances for the Mariners in season one of the A-League before he suffered a career ending hip injury. However, Crawley's influence on the Central Coast remained prominent, with protégé Danny Vukovic performing well under Crawley's guidance since his retirement.
He became the first Australian to play in Chile and in South America, before Victor Cristaldo and Richard Porta.
