John Ansley
John Ansley (1774 – September 23, 1845) served as Lord Mayor of London in 1807.[1]
Ansley was appointed an alderman in the City of London's Bread Street ward in 1800, when aged only 26.[1] He was subsequently elected one of the Sheriffs of the City of London in 1805.[1] Ansley had also served as vice-president of the Royal Literary Fund for many years.[1]
Ansley was a liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Leathersellers.[2]
