Johan Frederik von Marschalck

Johan Frederik von Marschalck (26 November 1618 – 16 March 1679) was a German-born landowner and Chancellor of Norway. He was born in Bremervörde, capital of the Prince-Archbishopric of Bremen, a son of Levin von Marschalck, Bremian prince-archiepiscopal Landdrost (1615–1626), chancellor of the German Chancery in Copenhagen (1628–1629). Johan Frederik von Marschalck was a son-in-law of Jens Ågessøn Bjelke, and brother-in-law of Ove Bjelke, Henrik Bjelke and Jørgen Bjelke. From 1674 he served as Chancellor of Norway. He was the last chancellor, ending a tradition that had lasted for 400 years.[1][2]
