Joel Segal (sports agent)
Joel Segal is an American sports agent and the president of Lagardere Unlimited Football. He attended George Washington University (1986) and Hofstra Law School (1989).[1] In 2010 Segal was recognized as the 7th Most Powerful Sports Agent in America by Business Insider Law Review.[2] In 2008 Segal was named one of the Most Powerful Sports Agent by Sports Business Journal[3] and was inducted into the George Washington University Sports Executives Hall of Fame in 2011. Segal has negotiated numerous record-setting contracts, is one of only two agents to represent multiple first round draft picks for the past nine years (2006-14) and has represented 30 first round picks since 2001.
In 2014 he was inducted into the National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame.[4][5]
