Joe Fallon (born February 1, 1985) is an American professional ice hockey player. He is currently playing for Frederikshavn White Hawks of Denmark's Metal Ligaen. Fallon was selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 6th round (167th overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. Before playing professionally, Fallon attended the University of Vermont, where he holds several goaltending records.

Career

Amateur

Fallon spent three seasons in the USHL, playing for the Rochester Mustangs and Cedar Rapids RoughRiders, before spending four years playing for the University of Vermont.

Professional

Fallon's professional career has seen him playing extensively in the ECHL and AHL. He spent the 2008-09 season almost exclusively in the ECHL, seeing only back-up ice time in the AHL with the Rockford IceHogs for 2 games. 2009-10, he spent completely in the AHL, playing for Rockford and the Peoria Rivermen. 2010-11 was spent splitting time between the AHL and ECHL, playing for the San Antonio Rampage and Las Vegas Wranglers.

On September 16, 2011, the Las Vegas Wranglers announced that they had re-signed Fallon to play for the 2011-12 season.[1] He spent the majority of the season with the Wranglers, with short call-ups to the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers and Houston Aeros, earning All-ECHL second team honors[2] and helping his team in the postseason to the Kelly Cup Finals.

On May 23, 2013, it was confirmed that Fallon was signed to play the 2013-14 season in Norway's GET-ligaen with Lillehammer IK.[3]
