Joamie Ilinniarvik School is a public elementary school located in Iqaluit, Nunuvat. It is one of the few public schools in the area, along with Inuksuk High School and Nakasuk School. The school is an elementary school serving Grades 1 to 5 and named after Inuit hunter Joamie Ilinniarvik.[1]
The school opened in 1988, but the original building burned down in a fire in 2003 and rebuilt.[2]
The front of the school features a two storey gym with classrooms located at the rear. Parking at the school is found on the side street.
