João Pedro Fernandes (born 9 March 1975) is a Portuguese retired footballer who played as striker.
Over the course of six seasons, Fernandes amassed Primeira Liga totals of 147 matches with 38 goals, mainly at S.C. Salgueiros.
Club career
Born in Pontoise, on the suburbs of Paris, Almeida started his professional career with Vieira S.C. in the third division, reaching S.C. Salgueirosfour years later, where he would spent the majority of his career, eventually becoming captain.[1]
After more than 120 caps at Salgueiros, he joined C.D. Santa Clara for the 2002–2003 campaign,[2] which would be his last in the top flight, spending the rest of his career in Leixões S.C. in the second level retiring in 2007 at 32.[3][4]
