Jnaneshwari Peetha is the religious and spiritual headquarters (matha) of the Smartha sect of Daivajna community of India. It is located at Karki, Dakshina Kannada district in Karnataka.[1] The present pontiff of the matha is Sacchidananda Jnaneshwar Bharati, a disciple of Sri Bharati Tirtha.[2]
The presiding deity at the matha is Jnaneshwari Devi (a form of Tripura Sundari) and is also worshiped in the form of Shree Yantra. Other deities are Devi Panchaytana, Ganapati and Navagrahas. Every year in the Maagh month of the Hindu calendar, Maha Rathotsava is celebrated with great zeal. Navaratri Turiyashram Sweekar anniversary of His Holiness Swamiji are other main festivals.[3][4]
