Jitsakul family
Jitsakul Family is a Thai business family of Chinese descent based in the provinces of Chiang Rai and Phrae of the northern part of Thailand. The family owns various enterprises of which control several hotels in the north region of Thailand, automobile dealerships[1][2] in the provinces of Phrae, Phayao and Chiang Rai and motorcycles dealerships in Phayao and Chiang Rai.[3]
In the recent years, family invested in hotel industry in the northern-part of Thailand which includes the completion of the first 5-star hotel in Chiang Rai Province which is a part of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide[4] and a convention center which is situated at a family-owned hotel in the northern part of Thailand.[5] In February 2011, Police General Pao Sarasin a former Deputy Prime Minister Thailand and Mom Luang Panadda Diskul the Governor of Chiang Mai at that time officially opened the family-owned convention center and it is also believed to be one of the largest in the northern region of Thailand at the time of its completion, being able to accommodate up to 2,000 people.[6]
