Jitendra Singh (born 6 November 1956) is a professor of diabetes and endocrinology,[2] a consultant and clinical practitioner, author of 8 books, and a newspaper columnist.He is the Ex-Chairman, National Scientific Committee Diabetes, Research Society for Study of Diabetes in India.

He is a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National Executive member and was the Chief Spokesperson for the state of Jammu and Kashmir, India.[3][4]

He won the Udhampur seat in Indian general election, 2014 for the 16th Lok Sabha.[5]

He was sworn in as Minister of State(MoS)(Independent Charge) along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other ministers on 26 May 2014.

He is the minister for state for Development of North Eastern Region (Independent charge), Prime Minister Office, Personnel-Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Atomic Energy and Department of Space.[6]
