Sir James David McGregor, OBE, ISO, JP (30 January 1924, Edinburgh, Scotland — 14 July 2014, Vancouver, Canada) was the former official of the Colonial Government of Hong Kong and member of the Executive Council and Legislative Council of Hong Kong.
He was also the vice-chairman of the Hongkong Chinese Bank,[1] founding member of the Hong Kong Democratic Foundation in 1989. He contested the Commercial (First) (Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce) functional constituency election in September 1988 and re-elected in 1991. McGregor was later appointed to Governor Chris Patten's Executive Council in October 1995, but he stayed with the HKDF as a senior member and mentor until his retirement to Canada in 1997.[2]
