James E. (Jim) Dougherty (born March 8, 1968 in Brentwood, New York) is a former middle reliever in Major League Baseball who played between 1995 and 1999 for the Houston Astros (1995–1996), Oakland Athletics (1998) and Pittsburgh Pirates (1999). He batted and threw right-handed.
In a four-season career, Dougherty posted an 8-4 record with a 5.99 ERA, 59 strikeouts, and 94⅔ innings without saves in 79 games.
