Jillelaguda is one of the largest residential centers in Cyberabad, Hyderabad. Jillelaguda village is between Karmanghat and Meerpet villages. Jillelaguda's village revenue includes more than 90 residential colonies with a population of 50,000 and more than 35,000 voters. This village has a 500 year old Hindu temple (Jillelaguda venkateshwara swami temple). Once it was a part of the Rangareddy District but was later merged into the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.

History

Jillelaguda was, at one time, a village with agricultural lands. However, in the last decade, urbanisation has turned Jillelaguda into a residential area. Jillelaguda is a village in Hyderabad district in Telangana, India.

Administration

Jillelaguda is a part of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation into which it was merged on September 3,2013 after an order no 407 from the Government of Andhra Pradesh. It is a part of the Chevella Lok Sabha constituency and Maheshwaram constituency of Telangana Legislative Assembly.

Jillelaguda is connected to other places within Hyderabad via the TSRTC, with buses available from the DSNR and Midani bus depots.

The nearest MMTS station is Malakpet. Jillelaguda also hosts a Grampanchayath Office. The nearest airport is Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.

Jillelaguda will be connected to other places by the future Hyderabad Metro slated to be ready in 5 years.

Jillelaguda Venkateshwara Swami Temple

The Venkateshwara Swami Temple temple is located here. This temple is known as "Matsya Avatara Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Temple" and is 500 years old.[1]
