Jiang Zhuyun (Chinese: 江竹筠; 20 August 1920-14 November 1949) was a Chinese revolutionary martyr.[1] She is the basis of the character of Sister Jiang in the semi-fictional novel Red Crag and in the famous 1960s opera Sister Jiang, though in the opera the name is changed to Jiang Xueqin.[2]
She was born Jiang Zhujun (江竹君) in Jiangjiawan, Dashanpu, Zigong, Sichuan province.
