Jhinjhana is a town and a nagar panchayat in Shamli district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

Geography

Jhinjhana is located at 29°31′N 77°13′E / 29.52°N 77.22°E.[1] It has an average elevation of 243 metres (797 feet).

Jhinjhana is a historical palace surrounded by small villages, like SIKENDAR PUR, Laprana, PirKhera, Bidoli, Patani Pratap Pur, UNN, Singra, Kertu, Binnamajra Gogwan etc. The village folks normally are farmers and grow a lot of Sugar Cane, Wheat, Rice, Vegetables and Mangoes. Jhinjhana is near UP and Haryana State border. JHINHANA Police Station is largest in Shamli Distt. and located within boundaries of an old fort. Jhinjhana is one of the India Towns located at latitude and longitude of 29° 31' 0" N / 77° 13' 0" E.

The town has history of great personalities like Mushir Jhinjhanwi a well known Urdu Poet who belongs to this town. Praveen Kumar(Cricket Player) is of village Laprana(Jhinjhana). He played his early cricket at local grounds of town. Anushka sharma(actress) is also of Jhinjhana, earlier days her family used to live in Jhinjhana. Jhinjhana is an ancient habitat center of region. The Town is full of historical buildings such as the NEELA ROZA, a historical mosque built by emperor Jahangir in Mughal era.There is a Mazar-e-shareef of Hazrat Shah Abdul Razzaq adjacent to Neela Roza. Mazar of Hazrat Imamsahab also famous shrine of both communities (Hindu and Muslim). Town has several old Havallies and remains of historical buildings. Architect of some buildings of British period architect is state of art and outer walls contain handmade paintings showing the custom and traditions of that time but ignorance and non preservation of structures leads destruction .

Jhinjhana is an important hub of education for rural populations of its surrounding areas.Several Public and Private academic institutions are located at town.Jhinjhana has an engineering college named Shamli institute of engineering and technology (SIET),and some private intermediate schools like St.RC. Convent school,De saint public school, SDS convent school, DAV Public school, saint Asha ram inter college, and some two government colleges likely RSS inter college,Jai Sita Ram inter college. Jhinjhana have two well known institutions of Urdu and Arabic education named Madarsa Allah Diya, Madarsa Noor Muhammadiya. Jhinjhana have many small Madarsas also, taking care by different Mosques. A Degree college is also situated here named Upadhya Nayan Saagar Jain Deegre College .

It has a government hospital and few small private clinics but still lack of qualified physicians.There is no single qualified doctor(M.B.B.S OR MD)available on approximately fifty thousands of people of town. A large number peoples of town and its surrounded village facing health problems throughout whole year.
