Jessie Andrews (born March 22, 1992) is the stage name of an American pornographic actress, jewelry designer, club DJ and model.[2] Andrews has been active in pornography since 2010. In 2012, she was honored with several awards for her performance in Portrait of a Call Girl, as well as New Starlet awards.

Personal life

Andrews was born on March 22, 1992 in Miami, Florida and was living there prior to joining the pornography industry.[1][3] She is of Chinese, Irish, and Latvian descent.[1] Her paternal grandfather is Latvian and paternal grandmother is Chinese.[4]

Career

At the age of 17,[5] Andrews had been working as a sales associate for American Apparel before entering the porn industry in March 2010, one week after her eighteenth birthday.[6][7] One of her friends, who had worked as an extra, told her "how much she made for showing her boobs," which motivated Andrews to look for work in the industry.[8] Other than viewing film trailers, she had never seen an entire porn scene before she started performing.[3] Andrews chose her stage name by combining the name of her mother's dog, Jessie, with the name of the street she was driving on, Andrews.[8] She moved to Los Angeles, California in late 2010.

In 2012, Andrews started to only shoot pornographic films with women.[9] Then in November it was announced that she had collaborated with Doc Johnson for an artificial vagina to aid masturbation, which released in early 2013, and the design of an exclusive condom packaging.[10]

Andrews is represented by the Spiegler Agency.[11][12]

Appearances

In March 2012, she was featured in Borgore's music video for "Flex".[13] On November 1, Andrews was featured in the music video for Borgore's song "Decisions" which features Miley Cyrus.[14][15]

She was featured in the cover of Doc Johnson's 2013 Winter catalog to promote her masturbator which was unveiled at the ANME Founders Show.[16][17]

In January 2014, Andrews, Dana DeArmond, Asa Akira, and Chanel Preston were featured in a Cosmopolitan article titled "4 Porn Stars on How They StayFit".[18] The article was inspired by actress Gabrielle Union's comment made on Conan O'Brien's talk show about striving to follow the fitness routines of the porn stars she saw at her gym.[12]

Other ventures

In 2012 Andrews launched her own jewelry line Bagatiba that consists of golden jewelry.[19] She has modeled for clothing companies, American Apparel,[20] RVCA,[21] and The Hundreds.[9] She writes a sex advice column for Galore Magazine.[22]

Music

Andrews is also a DJ.[9] In music, Andrews is represented by Nathan Hoy.[23]

In November 2012, Andrews' friend Dieselboy[24] announced a contest featuring a mix by Andrews co-sponsored by his Planet Human label and audio mobile accessories company Munitio.[25] On November 26, she released a remix for Anna Lunoe & Flume's "I Met You" and made it available for free download.[26] On December 11, she released her remix of Disclosure and Sam Smith's "Latch".[27]

On January 1, 2013 Andrews released her remix of Prince Club's "Love Strong".[28]

In December 2014, El Paso's Children Hospital withdrew its participation from a fundraising event when it learned that Andrews was going to be the special guest DJ for the event. The event organizers continued with the event in support of another charity, the Ysleta Lions Club.[29][30]

Performances

On January 20, 2013 Andrews played a DJ set at "Mystery, Masquerade & Mayhem" in Hollywood which was presented by PLAY ME Records.[31] On January 31, she performed at Le Carmen in Paris and on February 1, she performed at The Old Blue Last in London.[32] On March 12, she performed at Clayton's Beach Bar on South Padre Island, Texas.[33] In October and November 2013, Jessie Andrews embarked on a Canadian tour. She performed in Montreal, Thunder Bay, Victoria, Edmonton, Vancouver and Calgary.[34]
