Jesse Lennox is an American mixed martial artist. He was formerly signed to the Ultimate Fighting Championship fighting in their welterweight division before being cut with a 1-2 record with the promotion.

Mixed martial arts career

Lennox made his professional mixed martial arts debut on August 27, 2005, defeating Travis Corey via armbar submission at XKK: Trials. Following the impressive win, Lennox would compile a professional record of 10–1 before signing with now defunct promotion International Fight League.

International Fight League

Jesse made his debut for the International Fight League losing to Emyr Bussade via kneebar. Jesse was sidelined six months after the loss because of an injury that occurred during the fight.

World Extreme Cagefighting

Jesse was signed to World Extreme Cagefighting in early 2009 and made his debut not much later defeating Blas Avena. The WEC then disbanded their welterweight division leaving Jesse without an organization to fight in.

Ultimate Fighting Championship

Lennox was soon after signed by the UFC. While fighting in the UFC he was the only competitor in the organization to hold a full-time job. Jesse made his debut for the Ultimate Fighting Championship at UFC 101 against Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt Danillo Villefort. He won by TKO from a cut.

Lennox was defeated by Rick Story via decision at UFC Fight Night 20.[1]

Lennox then suffered his second successive loss in the UFC, at UFC 115 to Mike Pyle. After dazing Pyle causing him to fall the mat Lennox tries to finish on top to only be rewarded by being put in a triangle choke and passed out, giving Pyle the win via technical submission. After the consecutive losses Lennox was released from the UFC.

Personal life

Besides fighting Jesse is a paramedic and has a wife named Amy.[2]
