Jessa Lauren Seewald (née Duggar, born November 4, 1992)[3] is an American television personality. She is known for being part of the cast of TLC's reality show 19 Kids and Counting. Duggar is also known for writing Growing up Duggar: It's all about relationships with her sisters Jana Duggar, Jill Duggar, and Jinger Duggar.[4]

Jessa Duggar began her public life as a member of the family featured in the documentary 14 Children and Pregnant Again (2004) which talks about Duggar daily life from the "time they wake up" to the "time they go to sleep". The documentary aired on the Discovery Health Channel. Another documentary, "Raising 16 Children" was produced on the same channel in 2006, when Jessa's sister Johannah was born. This was followed by another feature, On the Road with 16 Children about the large family's cross-country trip.[5][6][7]

On September 29, 2008, 19 Kids and Counting (formerly 18 Kids and Counting and 17 Kids and Counting) began as a regular series based on the Duggar family.[8]

Personal life

Duggar was born in Tontitown, Arkansas,[9] the fifth of Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar's nineteen children.

On September 16, 2013, the Duggar family announced that Jessa had begun a courtship with Ben Seewald,[10] whom she met through their church, and that the couple were "enjoying getting to know each other and are recommending sermons to one another." On August 15, 2014, after eleven months of courting, Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald announced their engagement.[11] They were married on November 1, 2014.[12] On April 21, 2015 she stated on her twitter that she expecting her first child at the moment, and is due on November 1, 2015, on her first wedding anniversary. This news spread across many news sites.[13][14]
