Jerry Sconce is a former American football coach and convicted criminal.

Coaching career

Sconce was the fifth head football coach for the Azusa Pacific Cougars located in Azusa, California and he held that position for six seasons, from 1972 until 1977. His coaching record at Azusa Pacific was 24 wins, 31 losses, and 0 ties. As of the conclusion of the 2009 season, this ranks him #4 at Azusa Pacific in total wins and #5 at the school in winning percentage (.436).[2]

Criminal charges

Sconce operated the Lamb Funeral Home with his wife, Laurieanne Lamb Sconce; the Sconces were arrested on numerous charges relating to forgery of donor consent forms, removal of organs and body parts from the dead and selling them to organ banks and for scientific research, removal of gold dental fillings, and theft of funds from trust accounts and each sentenced to 3 years and 8 months in prison.[3]
