Jeff Maysh
Jeff Maysh (born March 30, 1982, Nassau, Bahamas) is a British writer, author and journalist based in Hollywood, California. He writes human interest and investigative articles for publications including BBC News Magazine, The Guardian, Playboy, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, the New York Post and The Verge. The writer has won numerous British journalism awards.

Magazine journalism
Jeff Maysh started his career at iconic British men's magazine Loaded where he became known for writing features involving danger and foreign travel. He was the magazine's longest serving staff writer before leaving the UK in October 2010.[3]
His long form story about Steve Davies, a mythical soccer fan who scored a goal for West Ham United, was listed in the notable section of 'Best American Sports Writing 2014', and voted number one in a poll of 'greatest ever soccer stories'.[4] The article was also included in 'Best Football Writing 2013' (USA),[5] and in the Dutch broadsheet NRC Handelsblad’s 'Five Best Long Reads of 2013',[6] and in The New Zealand Herald’s 'Best Sporting Long Reads of 2013.'[7]
As a correspondent for the BBC, Maysh became the first journalist to enter the notorious Korydallos prison, near Athens.[8] His profile of prisoner Vassilis Paleokostas, a Greek bank robber who escaped from the prison twice in a helicopter, went viral on the BBC News Magazine, on September 25, 2014.[9]

Jeff Maysh’s first book was published in November, 2007, Brown Bread Fred is a ghost-written autobiography of London bank robber Freddie Foreman.
