Jeenyo United Football Club is a Somali football club based in Mogadishu.
History
The club was originally known as Lavori Publici, and won their first Somalia League title in 1969.[1] The club went on to win the title again in 1970 and 1971.[1] They won the Somalia Cup in 1977 and 1980,[2] before winning their third league title in 1980–81.[1]
C/Shakur-Jeenyo is one of JEENYO's former players in 1974 he spoke with Somali Channel TV.
The original club folded in 1990 as the country descended in to civil war, but was relaunched on 11 March 2012.[3]
