Jeannette "Jeany" Spark (born 7 November 1982) is an English actress, known for portraying Linda Wallander in the British television series Wallander. Series 1 first aired on BBC1 in November 2008; series 2 first aired on BBC1 in January 2010.[1] Series 3 first aired on BBC1 in July 2012.
In 2008, she played school teacher Mercy Chant and very good friend of Angel Clare (played by Eddie Redmayne) in the BBC adaptation of Thomas Hardy’s Tess of the D’Urbervilles. [2]
She studied English literature at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford, graduating with a First Class Honours degree in 2004.
She trained as an actress at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), graduating in 2007.[3]
In 2010 she acted the part of a homeless girl the third episode of Sherlock, The Great Game.[4] In 2011 she portrayed Joan Malin in the television drama film Hattie.
Was married in 2007 to a fellow actor but the marriage only lasted a few years.
