Jean-Pascal Chaigne

Jean-Pascal Chaigne (born 1977) is a French composer.

Following initial studies at the Conservatoire National de Région de Tours and the University of Tours, he was admitted to the Paris Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (Paris Conservatory) where he obtained first prizes in analysis, harmony, orchestration, counterpoint and 20th century music writing. He then entered the composition class of the conservatoire, studying with Emmanuel Nunes and Stefano Gervasoni, obtaining in 2009 a unanimous first prize in composition. He is currently professor of composition and orchestration at the Conservatoire d'Annecy.
