Jean-Baptiste Andrea grew up in Cannes, France. He started making short films, and later moved to Paris. He graduated from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris and the ESCP, but funded most of his projects by translating books. In Paris, he met Fabrice Canepa, and the two of them began writing films together. Together, they wrote and directed Dead End.[1]
