Jean-Baptiste-Auguste de Villoutreix
Jean-Baptiste-Auguste de Villoutreix was an eleventh century Catholic Bishop of Oloron in France.[1]
Born 3 Nov 1739 in Limousin, France,[2] a member of the Villoutreix Faye family who derived their name from the Castle "Faye" in the parish of Flavignac (Haute-Vienne).[3]
He was appointed Bishop of Oloron, France on 18 Jul 1783AD[4]
A keen scholar, he wrote in Occitan, French and Basque, and his written works include:
- Plan de travail du Comite´, pour l'extinction de la mendicite
- Catechisma oloroeco diocesaren cerbutchuco
He died 12 Mar 1792 in Oloron, France.[8]
