Javier García Calderón (born February 20, 1989 in Oxnard, California) is a Mexican American professional boxer in the Lightweight division and is the Nephew of former IBF Super Featherweight Champion boxer Roberto Garcia Cortez.[1]

Amateur career

Javier won the bronze medal at the 2006 National P.A.L. Championships, losing only to undefeated prospect Terence Crawford during the tournament.[2]

Professional career

On March 14, 2008 García took out the undefeated Jose Javier Guzman by K.O. in just the first round.[3] On October 24, 2013 he took on former world champion DeMarcus Corley with the fight being stopped before the 7th round.
