Javad Khanate
Javad Khanate was an Azerbaijani khanate in the territory of modern Azerbaijan with its center in the town of Javad.
It was formed in the middle of the 18th century in the area where the Kura and Araz rivers meet. It had borders with Shamakhy, Garabagh, Garadagh, Lankaran and Salyan khanates. The khanate was founded by Hasan Khan of the Shahseven tribe. In 1768 it was dependent on the Guba khanate and was annexed to Russia.[1]
