Jarrad Kennedy (born 27 February 1989) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer for the Canberra Raiders of the National Rugby League. He primarily plays second-row or lock.
Playing career
Born in Tuross Head, New South Wales, Kennedy played his junior football for the Tuross Lakers before being signed by the Canberra Raiders. He played for the Raiders' Toyota Cup team in 2008 and 2009, playing over 50 games before moving on to play for the Raiders' NSW Cup reserve-grade team in 2012.
In Round 6 of the 2012 NRL season, Kennedy made his NRL debut for the Raiders against the New Zealand Warriors. In Round 11 of the 2014 NRL season, Kennedy scored his first NRL try.
He is the brother of Rhys Kennedy, formerly of the Melbourne Storm, but has joined Jarrad at Canberra for the 2015 season.[1]
