Jamie Lynn Corkish (formerly Gray, née Beyerle,[1] born May 26, 1984) is an American sport shooter who won a gold medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics.

She was born in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. At the Beijing 2008 Olympics, competing as Jamie Beyerle, she placed 4th in Women's 10 metre air rifle and 5th in Women's 50 metre rifle three positions. She placed 2nd at the 2008 ISSF World Cup in Milan. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, competing as Jamie Gray, she won the gold medal in women's 50 meter rifle three positions. She set Olympic records with 592 points in the qualification round and 691.9 total points including the final.[2]

Corkish got her start in shooting when she began with a BB gun program at the age of eight. She is a graduate of the University of Alaska Fairbanks and shot for its rifle team.[1]

Personal life

Jamie previously competed under her maiden name Jamie Lynn Beyerle and Jamie Lynn Gray.[1] She has since retired from professional shooting due to a back injury. http://www.usashooting.org/news/2014/4/16/512-injury-forces-olympic-gold-medalist-jamie-beyerle-gray-to-retire. She is currently a volunteer coach for the local 4H shooting team, a Hunters Education Instructor and Mule Deer Foundation committee member, as well as a spokeswomen for Eley Ammunition. She enjoys spending time outdoors recreating with her husband and their family. Jamie was married November 8, 2014 to Mike Corkish of Kalispell, MT. She has two amazing step-children in Morgan and Michael. Since her retirement Jamie now works for Eley Ammunition as their US PR and Marketing executive. She still fills her time with family, coaching and giving back to the sport that shaped her.
