Career
Stockport County
Born in Glossop, Derbyshire,[4] Vincent joined Stockport County aged just eight.[4] In 2005, he joined the 'Centre of Excellence' youth system at Stockport, before making his first-team debut two years later, as a substitute in a 1–0 win over Brentford on the last day of the 2007–08 season.[5]
The 2008–09 season saw Vincent feature more regularly in the team. He scored his first goal for the club on 18 November 2008 in a 5–0 win over Yeovil Town in the FA Cup.[6] He scored his first league goal, on 10 March 2009, in a 2–1 win over Hartlepool United.[7] After the match, manager Jim Gannon said his midfield trio, of which Vincent was one, 'are really just three fantastic players'.[8] Vincent scored his second league goal, on 24 April 2009, in a 4–1 win against Crewe Alexandra.[9]
In May 2011, he was informed that he would not be offered a further contract by Stockport due to the club's financial position.[10]
Kidderminster Harriers
In June 2011, he joined Conference National outfit Kidderminster Harriers on a one-year contract.[4] He made his debut in the opening game of the season, a 3–2 defeat to Gateshead,[11] He scored his first goal for the club in a 3–1 win over Alfreton Town on 17 September 2011.[12] Vincent then scored twice, in a 5–4 win over Braintree Town in October 2011.[13] On 29 May 2012, he signed a new one-year contract with the club.[14]
Inverness Caledonian Thistle
In June 2013, Vincent signed for Scottish Premiership side Inverness Caledonian Thistle on an initial one-year contract.[15] He scored on his debut – in the opening game of the season – in a 3–0 win over St. Mirren.[16] After his debut, Vincent stated that he believed his move to Inverness was a "step up in my career."[17] He signed a contract extension in February 2014, committing himself to Inverness until 2016, despite reported interest from other clubs.[18]
International career
In August 2012, Vincent was called up by the England C national team.[19]
In September 2013, Vincent was monitored by Northern Ireland national team national team manager Michael O'Neill, over his eligibility to play for Northern Ireland.[20]
