James Edward Stansfield (born 18 September 1978 in Dewsbury)[1] is an English former professional footballer who played in the Football League for Halifax Town. He began his career with Huddersfield Town but never played for the first team.[2] After leaving Halifax he played non-league football for clubs including Ossett Town,[3] Liversedge,[4] Bradford Park Avenue,[5] Guiseley,[6] Liversedge again, and Frickley Athletic.[7]
Stansfield's great-grandfather Jack Stansfield played in the Football League First Division for Bradford City in the 1919–20 season.[8]
