James Sample is an American football safety. He played college football at Washington and Louisville.
Early years
Sample attended Grant Union High School in Sacramento, California. He was rated by Rivals.com as a four-star recruit.[1] He committed to the University of Washington to play college football.
College career
Sample attended Washington from 2011 to 2012. After playing in five games over two years, Sample left Washington and transferred to American River College.[2] After one year there, he transferred to the University of Louisville in 2014.[3][4] He played in 13 games, recording 90 tackles and four interceptions. After the season he entered the 2015 NFL Draft, forgoing his senior year.[5][6]
