James O'Collins

Bishop James Patrick O'Collins KBE (31 March 1892 − 25 November 1983) was an Australian Roman Catholic bishop.

Ordained to the priesthood in 23 December 1922, O'Collins was named bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Ballarat, Australia in 1941 and retired in 1971.[1]

He was appointed a Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire (KBE) in 1980.[2]
