James M. Lloyd House is a historic home located at the intersection of U.S. Route 31E and East Street/Dooley Drive in Mount Washington, Kentucky. The home was built by Lloyd, a carpenter, around 1880. The Lloyd House replaced a home that was previously on the site, and had been destroyed by fire.[2]

Preservation

The property was donated to the Mt. Washington Historical Society by Anita Lloyd-Lutes and her husband, Kenneth Lutesbrother of former Mayor Ralph Lutesin 1989. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places four years later in 1993. There is an effort currently underway by the Historical Society to restore the home, which is in various stages of disrepair, and make it into the city's only museum. The building is currently closed to the public.
