James DuMont (born August 12, 1965) is an American character actor and producer.
DuMont's career includes a lead performance in the political thriller Enemies Among Us, opposite Eric Roberts and Billy Zane. DuMont has appeared in many TV series, such as Numb3rs, House, and more recently, American Horror Story: Coven, Bonnie & Clyde, Nashville, and Treme.[1] Film roles include Catch Me If You Can, S.W.A.T., Speed, Get on Up, The Butler, Ocean's Thirteen, War of the Worlds, Along Came Polly, and Dallas Buyers Club, in which he played the father of Rayon (played by Jared Leto). DuMont told Cindy Elavsky, "It's a really powerful scene we share. Jared does powerful work in this; as soon as we finished our scene, I tweeted that Jared would get an Oscar nomination for this role."[1]
